We Support Our Diverse and Inclusive Membership
The Chula Vista Chamber of Commerce understands that community success is directly related to an inclusive environment. We strive to be inclusive and to support the diverse businesses and workforce in our community. Through our community events and member services, we strive to create an atmosphere that is equitable to all.
Minority-Owned Businesses
Nearly 200 chamber members are women, minority, or veteran-owned businesses. These businesses are identified with an icon in our online business directory. Efforts are made to increase minority business participation in all events, award programs, and presentations.
Staff Training
Giving support and creating equity for all through recruitment, training, and development strategies and implement best practices to ensure an inclusive workplace culture. Staff attends routine training offered by the local community and chamber networks, statewide and nationally.
Inclusive Advocacy
Ensure all areas of organizational operations are designed to optimize inclusion. This includes our government advocacy efforts where all businesses are considered in local, state and national affairs.
We Believe in Sustainability
Understanding the three pillars of sustainability, People, Place and Profit, the chamber has been active in environmental responsibility and supports local efforts to protect our natural resources.
Thoughtful Economic Development
We support smart, sustainable economic development in Chula Vista. The chamber was a driving force in the revitalization of downtown Chula Vista.
Beautification
We have been strong advocates for the responsible beautification of public and private property by raising funds, supporting grants, award recognition, and recruiting volunteers for local community efforts.
Clean- up events
The chamber encourages staff and volunteers to organize and participate in the local bayfront, street, and park clean-up events annually.
